A passion for Pilates creator Joseph Pilates, the fundamentals, logic, fluidity and intelligence behind every single movement, and the pleasure and wellbeing derived after a great Pilates practice. Her dedication to her now strength training, diet and healthy lifestyle make her a trainer that leads by example.
Julia had her first experience with Pilates eight years ago as a student in Brazil. After taking a break from 12 years of classical ballet, Julia started Pilates classes and found that regular practice gave back the flexibility, strength, and posture she felt when she was dancing.
From her previous career as a journalist Julia brings along a healthy habit of attention to detail, reading everything related to Pilates, rehab and fitness. Julia is constantly developing professionally as both a Pilates teacher and a personal trainer.
In her classes you will sweat, feel parts of your body that you never felt before, be challenged, become more flexible, stronger, stand taller, and most importantly have fun! A few of her regulars have nicknamed her the Lara Croft of Pilates, so prepare to be taken to the next level in your practice, find new strengths, and work at a deeper level to explore your possibilities.
