Yoga classes at our studio in Manly, provide a balance in this busy and very yang world that is much needed. They are the perfect way to achieve balance within your muscles to promote recovery from other sporting activities, increase stability within your joints and reduce injury.
Designed to complement your working out, these session are as, if not more, important your all the sweating you do in other sporting activities. Classes are focussed with only 10-12 people so your yoga teacher can get to know your body, and work to your specific needs and requirements.
Yin Yoga is a powerful practice that moves your bones and reaches deep within your body heart and mind. Yin practice works with your entire body, organs, bones, connective tissue, heart and mind. A Yin Yoga class is brilliant for all yogis, beginners to advanced, the perfect compliment to your cycling, running and other training, or a just great way to relax and unwind after a day at work.
Additionally, within each class we explore meridian lines (energy lines) and the flow of chi (energy) as well as feeling in to our heart and mind space – connecting deeper on all levels of your being. Suitable for all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect compliment to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine by holding postures for longer to help focus on these deeper tissues to reach new depths in postures and an increased flow of energy. This is why so many students are finding Yin Yoga to be the perfect balance to their more active sporty yang practices.
