Immune Boosting Juice

With the cold damp weather, it’s good to give your immune system a bit of a lift.  We love this juice combo for an energy boost!

Here’s just a few of the health benefits of the ingredients:

Ginger – great anticancer and inflammation reducing properties.  Can counteract nausea and motion sickness. Make into a hot tea with a pinch of cinnamon to relieve chills and congestion from colds and flu.

Carrot – packed with Vitamin C which acts as a protector of the nervous and immune systems. It helps to relieve stress and calms you down. Rich in Vitamin C in combination with B vitamins reduces the level of harmful cholesterol, helping to protect your cardiovascular system. Fresh carrot juice increases appetite and improves digestion.

Cinnamon – relieves bloating and has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties.

Garlic – like onions, garlic is rich in sulfur compounds, which block enzymes that allow organisms to invade healthy tissue.  It also has benefits to stop you getting reoccurring colds.

One serving
4 carrots
1 apple
2 stalks of celery
Handful of parsley
1cm of ginger

Optional boost: 2 cloves of garlic

Pop the whole lot into your juicer and bingo! A glass packed full of goodness and health.
