Founder & Head Coach
She believes that with simple lifestyle changes, you can maintain optimal energy levels and achieve your goals in life and within your chosen sport.
Sarah Anne founded Karmea to give people access to a more integrated way of approaching their health and performance. Her methods encompass many aspects of her clients lives.
Her knowledge of the body’s ability to perform well with the correct nutrition and training, is fuelled by her own experience both in life and in sport.
Sarah Anne is an accomplished triathlete and duathlete, racing at age group level for Great Britain, and competing at all distances up to and including Ironman. She’s experienced in cycle racing, competing in time trials, road and mountain bike racing. Sarah Anne is part of the record breaking women cycle team The Veloroos, who won the Race around Ireland in 2017, smashing the course record by 20hours and placing 4th overall. Her running career began as an 800m track runner in school, into an accomplished marathon runner, morphing from road to ultra trail marathons. She has recently rekindled her love for off road triathlon, competing at the Xterra World Championships in Maui. When she isn’t on her bike or hitting the trails for a run, she can be found balancing some working in by practicing yin yoga or swimming in the ocean.
Her passion for swimming comes across in her swim coaching. Sarah Anne teaches the Total Immersion method of freestyle swimming. This effortless stroke technique opened up the world of swimming for Sarah Anne and she enjoys passing on this revelation to others.
Prior to creating Karmea, Sarah Anne ran a successful event production company by day, and trained for competitive sport by night (and indeed early morning). Her drive to turn fitness and health into her career meant that she could drop her stressful job, and pursue a passion for spreading awareness, sharing knowledge, and building a community of like minded people united by a desire living vibrant healthy lives.
